Hi everyone!I
Wanted to update you all on some exciting news from on and off the course. Firstly it was great to get back to winning ways at the Kenya Open last month, it felt good to be back in the mix on Sunday and it's also a great way to start the season. I played pretty good all week and my putter got very hot Sunday! It would be great to find two more weeks like that soon to get back on the main tour.
Secondly I am pleased to announce the renewal of my involvement with Lacoste who I will be working with again in 2010 and to also welcome a brand new sponsor to the team – Pacific IFA. I met Steve Dyson from Pacific in Dubai last year and have kept in contact ever since, through him I met directors Mark Pentelow and Steve Davis and they have kindly offered to sponsor me for 2010 with the intention of building a long standing relationship. Pacific IFA is an Independent Financial Advisor firm who specialise in managing and implementing investment portfolios for VIP clients, I hope to use this year as a platform to raise their profile and promote their service. My sponsors are very important to me so with Titleist, Lacoste and Pacific IFA on board I feel am in very good hands.
Finally I felt it was time to embrace some modern technology and join Twitter! It seems to be a trend at the moment among golfers to ‘Tweet’ however I must admit it will provide me with a great platform to keep in touch with all of you on a more regular basis from wherever I am in the world. My Twitter handle is robdin29 and the tweets will also be linked back to my home page, you can also use the link there to follow me. The event in Morocco this week was cancelled due to the volcanic ash, however Turkey next week is still going ahead so that is the next stop for me!
All the best for now,
Rob
